For the month of April my husband I traveled in our "mobile condo". We visited Colonial Williamsburg, The Mariner's Museum in Newport News VA, Hilton Head Island SC, and Savannah. It was delightful to avoid NH's mud season and soak up the sunshine in the south.
Colonial Williamsburg is a showcase of simple and elegant design. Here is a beautiful example of symmetry, which I love.
A sampling of Colonial Williamsburg houses, Governor's Palace, and the Captial building.
Here are details in the Mariner's Museum that interested me. These are replicas of the interior of a ship, the USS Monitor. The details are beautiful. The oil lamps with the cover above the flame is something that I've never seen and I'm an oil lamp collector that have burned my own ceiling once.
Hilton Head Island is mainly beaches and Live Oaks. I love both. The buildings are low structures surrounded by abundance of trees making the buildings blend into the landscape.
Fresh salty air, beautiful sunny skies, warm temperatures, the Coastal Discovery Museum, and Harbour Town are just a few reasons why we enjoy HHI so much, especially in April.
Savannah Georgia is a beautiful town. We took a quick day trip for lunch. We've spent several days there on a different trip, so this day visit was to remind us of how interesting it is.
It is good to get away from home for an extended period of time. For me, I get renewed energy and a new perspective. It is also practice for becoming a snowbird. I never thought I would want to be away from cold weather and snow, but I'm slowing getting there.
This is our tiny house.
