My objective for providing home design services is to inspire people to create homes that are organized, simple, stress-free, and most importantly make clients happy. People buy inexpensive furniture because it solves storage needs for a cheap price. But really, it is poor-quality, not interesting or unique, and definitely not a permanent solution, just a temporary fix.
A simple home is a place
that is organized and free of clutter and unwanted possessions
that highlights your lifestyle and welcomes you home
where you can feel relaxed and enjoy spending time
It is a constant job to keep a home simple. It takes vigilance and organization. You have to continually remind yourself not to bring in new things unless they are truly needed or wanted. When new things come in, take old things out.
Keep the big picture in focus and remember your personal objectives to keep a simple home. Establish a plan to accomplish and tackle the tasks.
Maintenance is key. One must keep up with the clutter that creeps up. Purge regularly. Everything from magazines, newspapers supplies, clothes, shoes, linens, toys, and kitchen gadgets. The stuff can really take over quickly if not tended to often.
