Window Treatment Designs

Custom window treatments can be beautiful. The key to successful window treatments is the size, scale, details, placement, and fabric choices that complement the decor. I have designed and installed many, many window treatments so I've learned a few lessons along the way.

Number one important is measuring. I am a bit obsessive about measuring. Mistakes are costly and very inconvenient for my clients. Therefore, I measure, and measure. I sometimes have to be blunt and tell my clients that I can not chit chat when measuring because I will not be accurate (I've given up multi-tasking),

I then take photos of the windows straight on so that I can sketch over them to illustrate the design options to my clients. This has proved to be very effective, especially for those that can not visualize well.

When purchasing custom treatments convey your design ideas, style, and budget to the decorator, designer, or seamstress. Most professionals do not want to disappoint and want to create and install treatments that you will love for many years.
